📢 Our latest paper is out, showing that food-derived bacteria modulate host #autophagy. Lactobacillus helveticus (🧀 ferment) induces autophagy in vivo in the gut and at distance in retina. Bacterial membrane vesicles contribute to this response. link.springer.com/article/10.1... @cfatg.bsky.social
