Whoa amigo. Rent “Pressure” This has been an issue since the 40s. The consensus is physics, not pattern matching empiricism that can’t be relied in forecasting under novel conditions or assess for causal mechanisms.

What powers are granted to the states in the Constitution?? That’s not a dick question. You push the armed thugs doom and gloom, but can’t even come up with a rudimentary explanation.

Building a massive LLM and expecting consciousness is like building a large scale ocean model and expecting to get wet.

“Reason“ is what you might call advanced search in computer science. In this case, it’s a nondeterministic, stochastic system operating in a loop. Old prolog language would exhaustively search its database trying to complete a goal. It wasn’t reasoning, it’s goal oriented pattern matching.

earth science used machine learning to produce remote sensing maps and crop predictions in the 70s and 80s. We then built physical models to understand why they were predictive.

Logistical and legal nonsense. How many polling sites across the US with how many armed thugs? Do the math amigo. That’s also blatantly illegal and states will charge and arrest. You need to take a us govt 101 class on separation of powers and elections.

There are no counter examples of other systems even close to what’s necessary for the computational complexity for consciousness as we experience it. Organic molecules appear universal and form naturally within the universe.

Move fast and break things community finding out that reliability and safety matter when deploying an LLM. Since LLMs can’t be assured with known methods so push risk to user and caution it’s quickly evolving and may becoming conscious so not their responsibility.

Slime molds and rocks FWIW autonomy researchers would start a general talk saying a “thrown rock” is autonomous and then tick off all the criteria it meets. They then build out from that example the complexity separating a thrown rock from a Mars surface rover.

Back to the claim they’re building guards for upcoming AI “Consciousness”. It’s nonsense, and what was described to safeguard a LLM’s behavior is called a run time monitor. Idiots needed to have one in the first place instead trying to instruct a non-deterministic application to monitor itself.

LA is HOT. But does it have to be this hot? Did you know shade from a single tree can drop temps by 20° or more? Yet working-class neighborhoods like South LA, East LA, and the Valley get the least tree coverage and bear the brunt of extreme heat. Let's finally cool things down for everyone.

True. Still while NASA‘s SpaceX contract demonstrating in space refueling is late, and over budget, under Biden NASA bought using a fixed cost contract. That means SpaceX should be paying for cost overruns like Boeing has for Starliner.

Allocation of Authority and Responsibility. People given technical responsibility, don’t have governance authority to make the decisions. Organizations understand the governing laws and directives and how to comply with them. A DOGE doesn’t.

As for the equities, the Government has a strong interest
in enforcing the rule, and implementing it will also “en-
hance the visibility of Federal Ballot Mail” in order to better
detect election fraud. 91 Fed. Reg. 54972. On the other side
of the balance, the plaintiff States invoke the practical ef-

enough to convince me to deny the application.

Thats why projects need a risk manager, then ID, assess, and mitigate every one. If a risk is realized and has a mitigation, you’re covered. The NRC and NASA find the risk of SW defect in avionics is 1x10^-9 I don’t think it’s wasted effort. AI isn’t doing risk analysis- just scare tactics.
