Rachel H. Stinson @plainerror.bsky.social · 26/09/2026A young associate recently asked if I was aware of my unusual number of specific sensory opinions about our workplace. Sir, I survived 18 years of terrible big-firm lighting, contaminated government office tap water, and 1950s-era ergonomics. I’m here to be the change I want to see in the world. 0262
Rachel H. Stinson @plainerror.bsky.social · 26/09/2026The ice machine in the big kitchen yields satisfactory medium-sized crunchy ice. IMHO tiny crunchy ice would melt too fast and dilute my perfect mixture. (Also, in case you haven’t found it already, the better glassware is in those small cabinets across from the moot courtroom). 150
Rachel H. Stinson @plainerror.bsky.social · 26/09/2026We have both a flavored sparkling water and an iced tea on tap, and my secret work menu is that I mix them half and half over good crunchy ice when I’m buckling down to do some serious writing. #WCBGDrinkMenu 230

Rachel H. Stinson @plainerror.bsky.social · 22/09/2026On my way into DC federal courthouse, someone was asked if I was a reporter. I took the hint and immediately fixed my hair. (To be fair, it’s very humid). 151
Rachel H. Stinson @plainerror.bsky.social · 22/09/2026So much stubborn affection for this strange little airport. The whole thing makes no sense at all in 2026. But I’m always so pleased to land here. 010

Rachel H. Stinson @plainerror.bsky.social · 27/07/2026It’s been 6 years since my biggest supporter and best friend died. I honored her today by doing nothing of importance—read 1/2 a novel, made a roast, pulled weeds, walked the dog, watched a kid blow bubbles in the park. Still can’t listen to her voicemails, but they’re there if I need them. 260

Rachel H. Stinson @plainerror.bsky.social · 02/07/2026Hmm. The original (bunk to begin with but whatever) and the WH version. Context matters. The original made Grant look scruffy and Lee pompous but the key players are the wingmen. Grant’s guys were ready to keep throwing down. Cropping them out and popping the highlights on Lee changes the message. 073
