The Rookie is one of the most insane shows I've ever seen, a cop show where the LAPD are, to a person, the sweetest, kindest, considerate, competent and most helpful public servants one would ask for. It's extreme even by "copaganda" standards, to the point where it feels like a bit.

I don't like scifi guns with a bunch of meaningless greebles on them, your scifi guns should look like they actually work regardless of your art style. Even a maximalist IP like 40k understands this.

...and I still left maybe 100 applications unread because I just needed to move forward. Leaving the position up longer would have just made the problem worse. I don't know of a solution on this end of things, there's just too many people competing for too few jobs.

I get it, but at the same time the response really is that overwhelming. I put up a loremaster position last year and in two days we had 700+ applications, recruitment was able to prune that down to 400+ qualified applicants, which took me three months to process...
