and the difference between an algorithmic feed and this chronological one is pretty stark. as an aside i looked up something on Threads and despite giving it pretty clear parameters of "popular topic" + specific keyword, it kept giving me popular topic without the keyword.

I know it was supposedly debunked but i don't know how my triggering topics which i don't look up on my phone always show up in my threads algorithmic feeds unless they listen to conversations i have with husband and friends. notably i almost never run into them here.

This is a terrible thing to allow. It can traumatize some, do moral damage to others without them realizing it yet, and for a not insignificant number, it may act as a proxy to the harms they wish to commit against others. Executions by the state should not be widely broadcast as such.
