Put Nigel Farage on TV denouncing the left’s racist hate. Get Shabana Mahmood to denounce it on Good Morning Britain, have that Tory Neo-Nazi antiracism adviser on to back her up. Then bring on Nick Timothy to explain it’s a multi-tentacled Muslim conspiracy that infests every institution in the UK.

I want the half the press awkwardly explaining that it may look a bit weird and incongruous but actually it’s good, while the other half continues to blare out fantastically racist hate campaigns week in, week out. I want the public to see exactly what this is, and what it always was.

The EHRC are stupid enough to do a blow-by-blow repeat of their previous shenanigans. I say: Yes, please do this - launch a deep investigation. Do it when our fugee-hunting Home Secretary is on TV, while Jeremy Vine asks callers whether black people can be British, while fascists riot in the street.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social Maybe something to ponder on your show - the BBC coverage of the mental health review leads with "possibility" of over-diagnosis. Then it mentions it next to stating the report has "three key findings". Scroll down and lo and behold over-diagnosis is NOT a key finding. 🤔

Labour has held the Holborn and St Pancras by-election, with Sagal Abdi-Wali retaining the seat for the party despite a hard-fought contest from Green Party leader Zack Polanski.
The result preserves Labour's long-standing grip on the constituency, and disrupts Polanski's momentum.

This is similar to the big lesson of Russia's war in Ukraine: you can't worry about what dictators claim are things that "humiliated" them. They're going to claim they were "humiliated" no matter what, as with Putin. You have to act in your own national interests—and in the interests of democracy.

The big lesson from the Biden era is that you can't be worried about what people will claim is politicized/weaponized/etc. They will claim that no matter what. None of that should stop you from targeting all of the corruption, and all of the enemies of American democracy.
