i'm doing a talk next Saturday on leadership at small/indie studios and one of my points is about why making smaller games is the way to go right now. I feel like this point gets proven every fucking day now.

Game studios are failing and doing layoffs left and right. Established studios. Notable indies. Are you better than them? Maybe! Also maybe not. You’re not going to get funding for a moonshot project right now, because they can’t get funding for a regular project.

this js my baldi design if baldis basics was bought by a multi billion dollar company in the late 90s and then the company slept on the IP for a long time until making an ugly sanitized shovelware reboot of the game in 2018 that was probably used in like 27 schools in the US and everybody hated it
