I get it that it’s super important that he is shutting down the government, but I miss the bluesky where the big topic du jour dominating the feed was everyone’s butts instead of that one ass

A powerful #CitizenFuture is ours for the making. Wonderful to be part of this call with Esther Foreman from Social Change Nest and @piamancini.bsky.social yesterday as part of the #CitizenCollective Spotlight series. youtu.be/cTzWotzTsJQ

Jon Stewart calls out the media for claiming that the Democrats were "too woke," pointing out that's bullshit, and if anything, the Democrats basically campaigned as if they were traditional Republicans. Bonus: he absolutely obliterates Scott Galloway. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKBJ...

Kiddo drops a chipa on the floor and immediately picks it up. Me: it’s cool baby you can have it. She: looks at me like I’m a savage. I don’t believe in the 5 second rule mama. Nothing is sacred for these kids…

Mamá, quick question: do you have any information about how the world was made?

MANY in 2016: don’t be ridiculous, they are not overturning roe v wade. It’s campaign talk for the base. Me today: BUENO

It's time for me to move on and start a new chapter. It's been a beautiful & wild ride for the past 9 years. Open Collective Platform is now in the best possible hands (@znarf and the OC Team) in a community owned home & @opencollect keeps fighting the good fight under @xdamman

I believe deeply in the mission we have and will join the board of the Open Finance Consortium as well as staying as an advisor to Open Collective Inc. I will take a break to spend time with my kiddo (who’s as old as Open Collective!) and after that, well… we’ll see. ;)

I am so proud of the work we did to find a path forward. Open Collective Inc and the newly formed Open Finance Consortium reached an agreement. The non-profit will take over the current platform and the team, running it themselves for their members and larger community.

We have been committed to supporting our community and the long tail of collectives using OC to make an impact in the world. In 2021 we began exploring what an ‘exit to community’would look like, placing the future of Open Collective in the hands of those who depend on it.

A group of fiscal hosts representing thousands of collectives have created a new independent, community-governed, non-profit organization and have reached an agreement with Open Collective Inc. to take over the Open Collective platform as it exists today.
