I get it that it’s super important that he is shutting down the government, but I miss the bluesky where the big topic du jour dominating the feed was everyone’s butts instead of that one ass

Jon Stewart calls out the media for claiming that the Democrats were "too woke," pointing out that's bullshit, and if anything, the Democrats basically campaigned as if they were traditional Republicans. Bonus: he absolutely obliterates Scott Galloway. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKBJ...

Kiddo drops a chipa on the floor and immediately picks it up. Me: it’s cool baby you can have it. She: looks at me like I’m a savage. I don’t believe in the 5 second rule mama. Nothing is sacred for these kids…

Mamá, quick question: do you have any information about how the world was made?

MANY in 2016: don’t be ridiculous, they are not overturning roe v wade. It’s campaign talk for the base. Me today: BUENO

WOW That was SO COOL Here's the last shot I took before just watching through the eyepiece, with the Moon just kissing Jupiter.

A very thin crescent Moon with its edge just barely touching the edge of the disk of Jupiter which is a small and very bright next to it.

Building something that protects itself it’s mission without the founders at the helm is a major challenge. I think about this a lot (and fail at it constantly) but it’s not only the good fight, it’s the only way out of the mess we are in.

The way to build a resilient forum for public conversation that lasts for the long-term is to build it on an open protocol, like the web itself. Services like websites can be built on top, but each can be run differently, and if users can easily move it keeps services accountable to users.
