The reason RFK Jr hasn’t unequivocally urged parents to vaccinate their unvaccinated kids is he doesn’t believe the MMR vaccine is safe. That should have disqualified him.

This is the simple statement Sec Kennedy should release about the measles outbreak in the US: “Measles is an extremely contagious illness that can cause severe injury or death to children and adults. The MMR vaccine is very safe and 2 doses is 97% effective at preventing infection. I urge all parents to vaccinate their children and all unvaccinated adults to get the vaccine themselves.”

Jerome Adams-The CDC reports 3,294 US measles cases so far in 2026, far more than all of 2025. Almost all of these cases were unvaccinated. Our leaders should be focused on stopping transmission by supporting vaccination, and respectfully addressing parental concerns.
