I don't like black metal but I respect Venom's musical legacy for the impact it's had on other extreme metal. Always loved this cover version of their song Angel Dust by one of my favourite thrash bands. youtu.be/7wkpfww8vls

I want AI bots to take over big soon-to-be-retired rock acts like the Rolling Stones. Their output will be more efficient too. I can't wait for the Stones to release around 20 new albums every year.

One of the great things about art in any medium is you hang out with it, not with its creator. All you will ever experience is the work, you don’t actually have to deal with the person, and you can take that as the relief it is. You likely have enough people to deal with already

With harsh noise wall it makes absolutely no sense to use AI. The 'walls' aren't particularly difficult to make and they don't require any big creative twists, so HNW is pretty much immune to AI implementation.

Most famous example is probably George Michael's Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1. I just learned that he did want to put out a Vol. 2, but it didn't happen because of some issues that he had with his record company.

There are no plans for a new Phirnis tape right now but when the time comes I want to call it "[album title] volume 1" and never follow it up with a "volume 2". I've always wanted to do that.

Meet me at that fish that has the tortured souls of jazz musicians trapped in it.

A large blue fish sculpture on the lawn of the children's museum.

Zooming way in, on the side of the fish there's a realistic painting of a person's face who looks like they're screaming in agony but they're certainly supposed to look like they're singing.

Zooming out a bit, the singer's face is surrounded by two guys playing the trombone. The paintings are faded and look somewhat ghostly.
