I can’t lie, the reaction of Man City’s ownership in the last week has radicalised me into wanting the punishment to be as harsh as possible. This time a week ago, I thought some of the punishments being proposed sounded excessive. But the lack of contrition makes me think there should be no mercy

Dividends paid to UK citizens taxed at rates of 8.75% to 39.35%, lower rate than wages. Dividends mostly go to the top 1%. £6bn a year raised if dividends taxed at the same rate as wages. More if NIC levied. Unlike the US, France, Germany, no UK tax levied on dividends paid to foreign investors.

In Luxembourg the average state pension for 40 years of contributions is nearly 4x higher than in the U.K. Far from being unaffordable the UK State pension is a joke, what is unaffordable is the tax evasion which leaves us with so little money to spend.

Andy Burnham announces end of triple-lock on the state pension from 2030. It will be replaced by double-lock, slower growth in state pension. Full state pension is already less than 50%of the minimum wage. Poverty awaits future retirees. £500bn of taxes not collected by HMRC since 2010.

I'm actually really annoyed now. God we're so complicit, as a country. Our Government is so weak on Palestine, still haven't passed the Occupied Territories Bill, still haven't officially expelled the ambassador, now we're still engaging with them internationally in sport. No. It's not right.
