[the Minotaur at the Fall Festival erupts from the edge of the maze clutching corn stalks] this structure is no challenge, no punishment for the hubristic and the wicked. Frankly embarrassing.

(2/2) If you're not in the Cbus area, you can get copies of the newspaper online:) tons of awesome creators make stuff for it, you should check it out.

A car is parked by a curb in front of a sign that reads "3 hr parking." The narration says: This time, we parked correctly,

Peter, dressed up in a skirt, walks with his roommate. The text reads: I had a friend to go with,

Peter and his roommate stand in the crowd at the concert, clapping along to the music. The text reads: and I knew all the words.

Really like how this analog collage turned out:)) #art #collage

An analog collage with a predominantly red color scheme. The central focus is an anatomical diagram. The text reads “HUNGER: Meet the Beauty in the Beast”

I grew up in TN. There’s no state income tax, but they make it up with other stuff like the high sales tax. There’s also additional taxes on stuff like alcohol (highest beer tax in the country if I remember right).

It pushed the boundaries of what I thought I was capable of but it ended up being my most favourite piece I've ever designed.

underrated advice that i wish i'd figured out way earlier in my digital art life: if your drawing software lets you adjust your pen pressure so you can make more varied line weights without using a lot of pressure, DO IT!!! cut off the end of that pressure curve!!!

Not fantasy or indie, but Nocturnes for the King of Naples by Edmund White is a great and very depressing book. Very raw portrayal of queerness and unrequited love in the 1970s. I read the whole thing in one sitting and then stared at a wall for a while.

Happy 13th Birthday to Oh Joy Sex Toy! Join our Patreon Pledge Drive this month for BONUS COMICS and to keep the site going for one more year! www.patreon.com/OhJoySexToy

Erika draws with a bouncy, cartoony style and uses a color palette of warm yellows, oranges, and reddy-pinks.

"Ahh, summer again!" Exclaims Erika, a white cis middle-age woman in beach attire, which is appropriate since she and her crew are walking on a sandy beach.

Ahead of her walks Ziggy, a trans man in his 40s with a heavily tattooed arm, gauged ears, and a septum piercing. He wears big round glasses, a Pokemon trainer's baseball hat, swim trunks and a tank top while toting in more beach supplies under his arms.

He adds, "That means sunshine, BBQs, and celebrating-"

"Oh Joy Sex Toy's 13th Birthday!" reads the text on a giant beach umbrella that Matt stakes into the sand. He is a devastatingly handsome white cis British man with salt and pepper hair who has just crossed the threshold into his 40s. He wears square-ish glasses, a t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers.

"We invite you all to chip in to our annual Pledge Drive and support the site this month!" Matt continues.

"For the price of a fancy coffee-"

"(or tea)" Erika interrupts.

"(or kombucha!)" Adds Ziggy.

"-you keep the site going AND get access to a bunch of BONUS COMICS that we've been cooking up this last few months.*" Finishes Matt with an iced coffee in his hands while Erika and Ziggy rest under the umbrella, each holding up their own iced tea and kombucha.

Caption: *In addition to all the previous years' extra stories if you haven't read them yet.

The scene shifts from the beach to show samples of the bonus comics, under a ribbon banner labeled "Preview"

Caption: Ripley LaCross travels through a backpacking retrospective. Hien Pham tackles Hourly Comic Day. Jey Pawlik explores what sketchbooks mean to them.

Surfing in on a wave of comic pages, Matt says, "Last year, we had to consider closing... but with our successful Pledge Drive, instead you all helped us raise our rates to commission 27 new and returning guest artists to publish 52 comics for the site, which now has... gosh, 680 comics, all available for free to the folks who need them."

the sky's kindest, most radiant star

illustration of Olruggio from Witch Hat Atelier. He is without his hat and cloak, holding a circle of paper with a fire spell activated. He holds it in front of him at chest height, his arm extending slightly out towards us. His torso twists back a little as his other arm extends back, elbow bent to bring his other hand forward and have his palm face the paper he holds in his other hand. His wand is being held between 2 fingers on this raised hand. A fire spell trails from the paper to his open palm. Within the shapes of the flame is a single star. He is facing the paper and has his head slightly tilted down, eye's closed and brows furrowed in concentration.

one of the three tarot cards i associate with shadowgast, The Star 🌟 #shadowgast #CriticalRole #CriticalRoleFanArt

digital fanart of Caleb and Essek from Critical Role, based on The Star tarot card. it is styled like a painting done on tan canvas, with strips of unpainted canvas at the top and bottom. 'XVII' and 'The Star' are written in slanted cursive above and below the painting, respectively.
Essek and Caleb are in their garden, on their knees and hugging each other tightly. in front of them, there is a low strawberry plant, many berries visible from under the green leaves. next to them, on the ground, there is a ceramic jug and a watering can, on their sides as if discarded hastily in a rush to embrace, with water flowing from them onto the dark soil. behind the characters, trees and a cozy cottage house are visible in the background, and around them seven glowing motes are floating in the air.
both Caleb and Essek are depicted barefoot and wearing summer clothes: a darker well-tailored ensemble of short trousers and a short-sleeved shirt for Essek and a more rustic and earth toned combination of shortened slacks and a white shirt with rolled up sleeves for Caleb. Essek has dark gardening gloves on, with a subtle rose print on them, while Caleb's hands are naked. the soles of their feet and their forearms are smudged with dirt.
Essek is resting his chin on Caleb's shoulder with his eyes closed, while Caleb is slumped into his partner. his face is not visible, but judging from the position of his hair, he is hiding his face in Essek's shoulder. a tiny sliver of negative space between them is catching the setting sun behind them, and the filtering sunlight is creating a large glowing four-pointed flare over the darkened figures.

ONE MILLION HAPPY ENDINGS 1/? This is a prologue, and thank you for time, support & patience. The first slice of this comic is 15 pages, already drafted + posted as I finish. The complete thing should be around 40pg. Not set in the same universe as my last fic! 🪲 #Jayvik #Hexposts #1MHE

Page 1, panel 1. A burst of arcane darkness. it reads, You awake… then panel 2 completes that sentence: In the Jungle. It is a shot of viktor from behind, long haired and wrapped in a blanket. wilderness stretches out before him, thick with woods and leaves. the greenness of the trees is the only part of the page with color. Panel 3, he examines his body, baffled. Alive. Himself. Panel 4: Not alone. Viktor hears a laugh to his right and turns to see Jayce laying down on the grass not too far away from him. Panel 5: a close up of Jayce’s smiling, shiny, breathless face. He grins, showing the gap between his teeth and says: Quite the landing, huh? Panel 6: Not alone. The rest is of little concern. Aerial shot of viktor throwing himself over jayce, both of them rolling in the grass and hugging, their bodies tangled. Viktor's blanket trails in the soil. Jayce wears his fur coat from the last battle. Thick trees loom over the couple, dappling them in the shade, sunlight peeking through. title: one million happy endings, a jayvik doujinshi by hexhomos. end page.

Page 2, panel 1: viktor's bare feet walk the grass, moist dew dripping from his soles as he moves. Narration reads: Rain graced this soil just a few hours ago. What a sweet air, you think. Panel 2, Jayce and viktor walk under a curtain of swirly vegetation, peppered with blooming fruit. Jayce has lent his fur coat to viktor, who wears it in an oversized fashion. The humid habitat feeds a vast wealth of flora. Panel 3, jayce and viktor walk on a tree trunk bridge so massive they seem like two tiny ants. Dragonflies soar in and out of bounds, colored in holographic shades of blue and purple. A wealth of insects, says the narration. Panel 4, continuing: And a rather… slippery terrain. One could fall at a moment's notice. The pair makes their way down a natural knot of crooked wooden branches, where someone has hammered in planks to be used as a ladder. Viktor arrives on the ground first and assists jayce, who seems to have a bit more caution. end page.

Page 3, panel 1: You tire before sunset. Barely a day's walk. A shot from behind of a tired jayce leaning on a tree trunk, the sun high above his head. Viktor watches him with concern on his face Panel 2, closing up on Viktor's raised hand, his fingers slowly reaching for Jayce’s shirt. He says, hey… and pauses. Panel 3, a sudden flashback to their time in the past as lab partners; the room filled with grayer tones, fuzzy at the edges. Viktor is overworked. Jayce touches Viktor’s shoulder, bringing him a bowl of warm soup. He smiles gently, and says, much in the same tone; It's been a while, don't you think? We can always finish this tomorrow. Panel 4, back to the present, where viktor has just echoed his words. he leans his head on Jayce’s shoulder, feeling embarrassed, and continues speaking: “Besides… I would like to lay down and rest a little… with you.” A trail of pink bubbles decorates the panel. a cartoony heart bounces on Jayce’s head. He's flustered. Panel 5: Accepting Viktor’s suggestion, Jayce hugs him tightly, nested in the corner of the tree. The camera pans away from them, the dense jungle framing their bodies in a storybook fashion. They haven't walked enough to get out. short grass, large bushes, stone formations and many, many tiny mushrooms sprout from the ground, leading the eye. The narration says: It’s strange, how familiar this newness feels. end page.
