reminds me of old Seattle Bike Twitter, which embarrassed me on the regular as I bike commuted for a decade. I get advocacy but the "THIS OR NOTHING ELSE" approach is really tiring and not the best way to get the point across.

I really want to go but I'm on Vashon and hitting up Everett for a show is just a bit too far for me with my 2.5 old. The new album absolutely kills.

There are two things about this Portland Trailblazers announcer debacle: 1) Firing someone over tweets they made as a 15-year-old is absolutely idiotic, but more importantly; 2) Never tweet.

Trump’s new AI website is kinda fun, it turns out.
Can the president use taxpayer funds to air his old campaign ads on TV?

No. Federal appropriations law has long barred using taxpayer funds for political advertising.

I don't think there has ever been a Mariners team I have more eagerly awaited to become mathematically eliminated from the postseason. Good riddance to this backed-up sewer line odor of a baseball squad.

LMFAO -- Trump is holding an event at the White House right now but there's no audio because the press pool isn't there. The Newsmax host notes that this is an example of Trump's attacks on the press "backfiring just a little bit"

I'd give a shout out for Green Lung -- stylistically not exactly in the same genre as either of those three but each album is a head banger and a half

If Matt Calkins is choosing to write about Colin Kaepernick kneeling in this year of 2026 I can only assume that his substack will just be a tour of all the pieces his editors spiked because he is an absolute idiot.

The only way this ends up working is when Dan Wilson "steps away" at the end of the season and that is on Dan Wilson to do so. Otherwise, the Mariners will have squandered the crest, in part by hiring a manager who clearly has no idea how to manage.

Even more damning, it isn't like the AL West was a powerhouse in 2024 but it was better than the "absolute dogshit division" it is in 2026.

Among many of the issues in hiring noted 1995 Seattle Mariners baseball player Dan Wilson, despite his previous lack of any professional managerial experience, is, as a franchise, you cannot fire Dan Wilson. Scott Servais was fired when the team was 64-64. The Mariners are currently 64-73.

Let me get this straight. Sometimes a famous person dies and everyone is nice about it? Merely because of their deeds during life?

What I love about the Matt Calkins right-wing grift media outlet tour is that he resigned. He wasn't fired for his views. He wasn't punished for his views. He quit his job. And yet, he is the victim.

Serious whiny loser energy steaming out of former Seattle Times garbage man sports columnist Matt Calkins right now. mattycee.substack.com/p/i-was-a-sp... I'm sure he will find a great home in the Jason Rantz/Brandy Kruse world of shitheads.

Nothing emphasizes the importance of the regular season like letting 20 of your 30 teams into the postseason.

You’ve never wiped if you haven’t wiped cold.
The types of glass-footed beverage refrigerators that line the walls of bodegas and gas station convenience shops. This one is in a Brooklyn bodega, and you can see a bit of the next shelf forming this aisle. There are three fridge doors visible and behind all three are rolls of paper products like paper towels and toilet paper. The lights in the fridges are on, causing one to wonder if their other functions are also active. Like, is it even possible to turn on the lights but not the refrigeration unit? These are the questions that have bedeviled the philosophers for time immemiriam.

They will pack up and move to a "more welcoming city" and then they will rinse and repeat. There is no moral or allegiance for these ghouls. All they care about is amassing as much money as possible at the expense of everyone else.

The most important thing to note about rich jackholes like the new Blazers owner is that they are never negotiating in good faith. They will take every single penny out of every child's piggy bank if it makes them a dollar. www.opb.org/article/2026...

Young female athletes in Washington schools would likely have to obtain genital exams to participate in school sports, if a controversial ballot initiative passes in November.
