I find the question “Did America deserve 9/11?” to be a clickbait emotional reaction. “Deserve” - implies reward +/-punishment. Yes/No - both evoke emotions that pits one answer against the other. The real question should be: “Why did 9/11 happen?” How about we start asking THAT ??.
