I was worried if my comic is perhaps too self indulgent, but then I remembered the words of Björk and now I need to make it even more self indulgent 🥰

The video game industry has always been volatile (I published Press Reset in 2021!) but the skeleton key to understanding the current state of things is this: Big games now cost 10x to make what they did 15 years ago but most do not generate even close to 10x the revenue. Simple as that

I don't want to be nostalgic anymore. I'm tired of being catered to. I don't want to forever hear the same artistic voices I heard in my youth, now amplified, slowed and reverbed for dramatic effect. I want new worlds. I want new stories. I want new voices. Please!

What independent artists make is better than you can understand. It has to be, for us to love it so much and give up so much of our lives and keep going regardless of support. I'm making my music better than you can ever know. I'm doing my part of this. It's your turn to pick up the weight, people

Bringing back one of the projects I spent a while working on recently ❤️ An animatic based on Luke's tipping point at the end of Tales of Abyss's first act. Yuri Lowenthall kills this VA performance ugh. #talesoftheabyss #lukefonfabre #animatic #art

guess i'm crying about fiction and fanfiction at 5pm on a monday. no, not any particular story, but how it's all of us saying hey, this is what it feels like

screenshot of a tumblr post of a photo of a book post by vexheart book says "borders and divides. There are large, glamorous industries around stories; the book industry, the movie industry, the television industry, the theatre industry. But in the end, stories are about one person saying to another: This is the way it feels to me. Can you understand what I'm say-ing? Does it also feel this way to you?" author - Kazuo Ishiguro, My Twentieth Century Evening and Other Small Breakthroughs

I think about this at least a dozen times a day.

people end up unable to see depiction as anything other than endorsement when their entire cultural diet is escapist fun and reassurance. they see something make them uncomfortable and can only assume people are watching horrible shit as vicarious pleasure and are horrified.

thinking about the popularity of so many "redraw trends" and plagiarism of compositions by all sorts of artists (it comes up often for gposing but 2D artists do it too). i have to sum up my discomfort with it as follows: it's artists treating other artists the same way A/I treats art as data

More fellows from @chaosium.bsky.social 's Time Without Tide I designed.

Drawing of a young cartographer looking through his theodolite, which he is carefully adjusting. He's holding a sketchbook.

Drawing of an elderly gambling enthusiast. She’s wearing an evening dress that has seen better days. She smokes with a cigarette holder and hides a small pistol attached to her ankle.

Drawing of a sullen-looking teenager wearing a thick winter dress. She is holding a long, repaired rifle and a mug presumably filled with hot coffee.

Hey guys! Due to the trend of "what's your undertale soul color" reels I've seen recently, I decided to make something hopefully more accurate and fun than the other tests out there. I wanted it to be very Undertale themed and to have a bunch of Easter eggs. Try it at undertale.jadenthejaded.uk!

Stock image of the results from the test mentioned in the post. All values are at 50%.

Between 2024 and 2025 I had the absolute pleasure to make character designs for the coming TTRPG, Time without Tide ! Here's a few of them.

Drawing of an aristocratic woman in an outfit freely inspired by the Victorian era. On her left arm, she wears a mechanical prosthetic hand with a cannon coming out of it. In her other hand, she holds a teacup from which she is about to take a sip.
A lantern and a leather pouch are attached to her dress.

Drawing of a mischievous teenager from a working-class background. He’s wearing a Gavroche cap and no shoes. He’s armed with an axe and a revolver in poor condition. He’s playing with a pair of dice.

Drawing of a middle-aged bureaucrat sitting on top of a filling cabinet covered with a gigantic stack of files. She is comparing documents while handling a phone call.
