'There Is No Antimimetics Division' is quite an extraordinary book. Sci-Fi and horror blended in a mindbending way. Quite a trip. I listened to the audiobook which was excellently done.

The Joy of Sex. Interestingly enough, the illustrations in the book are by legendary sci-fi and spaceship artist Chris Foss.

More of these pulsating,, strobing striplights in an Asda car park. Is this art or am I just a weirdo in a multi storey car park? #videoart #art Epilepsy ⚠️ Warning - contains flashing lights.

No proper eclipse, no Perseids tonight, and the Cosmos update didn't drop for No Man's Sky. Rubbish. Here's my floof hanging around in the garden wondering what the fuss was all about. No, she's not a Dalek.

It bears mentioning that these comparatively modern mini-henges are not emulating more ancient megaliths and symbolic places. They have been placed / dumped there for purely cosmetic and practical reasons. These are here primarily to stop local youths turning this open space into a football pitch
An excellent scattering of mini-henges on an open space in Currie, nr Edinburgh. What will far future archeologists think of them. A place of worship or burial for the long gone tribes that built their dwellings around them?

Has anyone made a study of modern urban megaliths? Many mid to late 20th century urban spaces and housing estates have rock piles like these. This spectacular array in Currie,nr Edinburgh is only enhanced by this magnificent tree remnant. #megaliths #stonecircles #folklore @stoneclub.bsky.social

Sad times. In the 1970s I had a Budgie (Aka: Baby Chopper), a real Chopper and then a Grifter, Raleigh's attempt at a BMX, but the designers had only ever seen a photo of a BMX. It weighed a ton. Many a grazed knee and elbow coming off a bit of wood propped up on bricks, DIY Evel Kinevel style.
My childhood. Yes, I remember when everything was in black and white. That's not me on the right.

DREICH has to be my favourite name for a Scottish death metal band. I have no idea what the name of the headline band is.
+6 Dreich is a traditional Scots word meaning wet, gloomy, and dreary, most often used to describe foul, grey, and miserable weather.

Still looks pretty good though. The back to front, inverted thing always trips me up. So if you printed yours with gold ink on black paper it would be 'correct' ? That might be worth a try. Mine has a big black background which limits things. I could print on gold paper I suppose...

They said the comic was complete in 2025. They had a pretty hefty chunk of it done in 2021 and published in Shift, so there’s no reason for this much of a delay. It’s sad, I’m a friend of Gary but there’s a time to call it quits. I’ve asked for a refund.

A great book. Most public libraries have a collection of books like this. Sometimes you have to ask the library assistant or librarian to show you them. They cover grief, sadness, having a parent with mental health problems, visiting food banks and many other subjects.

At the Reflecting Pool, and guys, this doesn't look right.
"I am the spirit of dark and lonely water: ready to trap the unwary, the showoff, the fool..." intones the voiceover, "...and this is the kind of place you'd expect to find me. But no-one expects to find me here. It seems too ordinary", as the scene switches to a group of children playing on the muddy edge of a murky pool. A boy is teetering on the steep, slippery bank attempting to retrieve a football from the pool with a stick. "But that pool is deep. The boy is showing off...the bank is slippery," says the spirit, approaching from behind...

I have too much drying weather. I'll send some down. My problem is too much drying weather= too much ironing.
My garden. Yeah. The grass is meant to be like that. I'm helping the bees. They love the clover and Devil's Paintbrushes.

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Nope. He was still using the quotes from Frazer Brown at his appearance at LiCAF in 2025, in a lovely fluorescent green frame. Call me suspicious, but I would suggest that this outsider comicbook edgelord is trying to be deliberately provocative.
Still using Frazer Brown quotes in 2025 right in the middle of one of the UKs biggest comic conventions. Get in the sea.Proudly using a Red Cabin repost on his Instagram page.

Sorry, John. Wouldn't touch this with a bargepole. It's one thing to stand against cancel culture, but to still be using Frazer Brown review quotes to plug your products is unforgivable. I recall he was also linked to contributing to Brown's #TFTQ 'sequel'. The British comic community remembers.
To still be using Frazer Brown as a positive review source is unacceptable.

I'm not really a big drinker myself, but when in Bruges. I loved that I could have small beers so I could try a lot of the beer menu. They do have a good range of bottled 0% beer so you'll be fine. Enjoy your time in Bruges. It's a great place.

I was in Bruges a couple of months ago. As a fan of weird I ended up accidentally venerating the 'holy blood' of Jesus at the Sepulchre of the Holy Blood. Sat in the wrong place and ended up in the queue for venerating. It's just behind the main square, tucked in a corner.
Upstairs for the holy blood, downstairs for the crypt.A painting of the Holy Blood relic. You can't really get a photo of the Holy Blood relic itself but join the queue if you want to see it up close. Be prepared for a bit of kneeling and crossing when you get up to it. I'm a lapsed catholic so I was okay with it. It comes out a couple of times a day for venerating purposes. The crypt below the main church.
