This really is beyond the pale. Absolute hateful propaganda, most of which is framed in harmful ways by people who must be sociopathic.

In 2013, the LASPO Act, ended free legal help for almost all welfare benefits matters (except Upper Tribunal applications and appeals). In 2026, DWP began a campaign against "claim management companies" which charge claimants for advice on benefits - claimfree.campaign.gov.uk. Join the dots...

"It isn’t point scoring that has delayed care reform, but disagreements on how to find the money and what to spend it on... What’s been missing is a leader willing to lead." I look at 20 years of failed adult care reform - and what Labour's proposals could miss By me, for @theleaduk.bsky.social

Don't like complaining about referees, they have a difficult job. But Craig Pawson today gave one of the worst refereeing displays I've ever seen. Foul count against the Bees, 24, for Villa 7. Absurd.

This is a very interesting and very pertinent examination of the means testing of capital with universal credit, but that of course also applies to Pension Credit as well as the social care financial assessment. Upper capital thresholds haven't changed for decades. Punishes people who save.

Macklemore just announced he’s donating the $1 million he made from Sheeran’s tour to 6 organizations to support Palestinians and he’s asking Robert Kraft to match it. This is just the first part announcing it.
With everything that has happened over the last 48 hours, I want to bring the conversation back to where it belongs: to the Palestinian people who are still being killed, still living under military occupation, and still fighting for their freedom.
I will be donating the entire $1 million of my net earnings from Ed Sheeran's Loop Tour to six organizations working directly to support the Palestinian people. And I invite Robert Kraft to match my donation. Whatever we disagree about, perhaps we can agree on this: Palestinian lives are worth protecting. A Palestinian life is no less valuable than any other life on this earth.

Kevin Rowland and Dexy's Midnight Runners are very unhappy that Nigel Farage used their music at the Reform party conference.

I, Kevin Rowland (the son of Irish immigrants) and the main songwriter of ‘Come On Eileen,’ am disgusted to learn that Nigel Farage has used our song to make his entrance for his party conference. Myself, and all of Dexys are passionately against Farage’s politics.
