This weekend’s project: DPDK + WireGuard 🤓 I wired wireguard-go up to my packetio library and got a single tunnel to ~30M pps clean, peaking 40M pps. That’s 70× what kernel WireGuard can do! Wrote it all up here if you’re into that kind of thing: toonk.io/wireguard-dp...

I think they have, seeing as their former leader is now running for CentreBC. @emilylowan.bsky.social is more aligned with COPE/Fed NDP (Avi). now I'm curious to see their candidates and if they have similar views

In 2023, I was working with a charity & we did this market to serve food/provide clothes/haircuts for ppl on the DTES. Pete Fry and Ken Sim said they'd come. Pete Fry came, Ken Sim didn't. 2 weeks later, Ken Sim had the homeless people in the park rounded up, their possessions put in garbage cans.

they used a weighted vote where each electoral district was worth 100pts to avoid a true popularity contest. effectively the rural vote was worth more and this was the result.

they also reduced the value of a vote in the lower mainland by using a unique voting method where each electoral district was worth 100pts. this gave more weight to the rural vote vs urban.

I'm just an old crank who has seen this play out in other industries, where someone builds something new with govt support then gets sold to the incumbent and back to square 1. (wind/freedom mobile for example).

we have plenty of data centres but who owns/operates them is the key. just because a site is being rezoned we don't know who will operate it. does another AWS/equinix/ovh DC help with data sovereignty?
