OneCity was out door knocking and at community events across the City of Vancouver this weekend. Advance voting starts THIS SATURDAY, 3 October so make a plan to get out and vote for the whole @onecityvan.bsky.social team!
OneCity had 18 candidates and volunteers out door knocking yesterday afternoon. Isn't it weird how ABC said they'd build new community centres in the neighbourhoods they need votes in? We're just asking questions... Caitlin Stockwell and the OneCity Council Team will stop playing politics with your community centres — and focus on building *more of them*.

Under the ABC School Board, families, students, and teachers have been turned away from public meetings. Resources have been stripped from their classrooms. Some families are even scared to go to School Board meetings because they're so toxic. On October 17th, you can change that.

We think co-ops are pretty cool, actually. OneCity will make it possible to build more of them and keep the ones we already have. On October 17th, you can elect OneCity's beloved Co-op King 👑 Jarrett Hagglund to City Council.

@onecityvan.bsky.social posted their housing platform. Lots to like: more housing options, more non market housing, better support for renters. Also, they're calling for affordable & accessible flats (like our Four/Five prototype 👇) to be allowed everywhere we already allow plexes and large homes.

After decades chasing of City Councillors for comment, Frances Bula has seen it all. And for the last four years she's seen Ken Sim & ABC spin their wheels and forget what they promised us.

Ken Sim & ABC spent half a million dollars on a useless plebiscite, while making no progress on the actual services that keep people safe — like washrooms. Tyler Petersen is running for Park Board to deliver safe and dignified public spaces for everyone.

I urge everyone to vote OneCity across the board, but especially for School Board. No other party has put forward a slate this experienced. VSB schools have seen brutal cuts in services and an apalling lack of open engagement at the board level. Schools, teachers and our kids deserve better.

Rory Brown is running for VSB Trustee with the OneCity Team to put resources back into the classroom — not the board room. Parents, students, and staff in our public schools have endured brutal cuts to basic supports the past four years. They shouldn’t have to suffer another four.

Safe routes to school and a connected active Transport network…. Can totally become a reality

Main Street Car Free Day nearly got cancelled this year. @lucymaloneyvancouver helped save it with an urgent motion at council. Today, on that same street, OneCity is announcing Connect Vancouver: our action plan to ensure every neighbourhood gets a real choice in how they get around.
OneCity Vancouver policy announcement graphic titled "Connect Vancouver." Text reads: "Every neighbourhood deserves a real choice in how it gets around." Illustration of a purple bus and a person riding a bicycle. Button reads "Learn More."OneCity Vancouver graphic with heading "Same city. Very different options." Text reads: "You've stood at a bus stop watching a third full bus drive past. You've wondered whether your kid can bike to school without crossing four lanes of traffic. Downtown: 71% of trips are car-free. Southeast Van: 31%." Illustration of a person walking a dog past trees. Button reads "Let's fix that."OneCity Vancouver graphic with heading "Our commitments." Three bullet points: Faster buses with priority signals. One connected network: protected walking and cycling routes that actually link up, safe if you're 8 or 80. Safe routes first: schools, parks, and daily errands before anything else. Illustration of four people standing together beside a bus. Button reads "Say More!!"OneCity Vancouver graphic with three more commitments: Save Mobi: explore public ownership of the bike-share system so it doesn't disappear. Publish a transit report card: a publicly accessible evaluation of progress, neighbourhood by neighbourhood. Prioritizing underdeveloped networks: the first communities served will be the ones without access, so everyone in Vancouver has a choice on how to get around. Text reads: "Read the full plan at onecityvancouver.ca/connectvancouver." Illustration of an East Van cross sign, a neighbourhood streetscape, and a person on a bicycle.
