I recently had my bottom bracket replaced. Was making noise for years, previously took it to a shop that thought replacing the pedals would fix it. Nope. Made worse noise a few weeks ago so I took it to a new shop. They replaced my BB and oiled my chain and my bike rides like a dream now.
