Gotta love it when a total insider tries and fails to triangulate what a "regular person" feels from nowhere. I don't think a "regular person" has ever encountered that phrase, which has only ever circulated in DC circles.

I saw someone refer to Amarillo as rural. I am sorry, but there is no reasonable definition of rural that includes a city proper of 200k people.

Chicagoans Love Thin-Crust Pizza. But Do They Really Call It 'Tavern-Style'?
The origins of the phrase that describes thin-crust, square-cut pizza — and whether locals actually call it that — are the subject of much debate.

seeing conservative men debate how to dress online is very funny. can't dress up or wear interesting casualwear bc you've made any visible interest in dress to be a sign of homosexuality. but you feel the need to dress better bc you've linked dress to respectability. a prison of your own making.

They really thought that, by bringing in Belichick and his best buds, they could turn UNC into a 10/11-win program. They believed they could get UNC a Big Ten invite by simply being themselves and not listening to the people who've been in this universe for decades.

thought so too but the 9pm closure time in fact predates the Obama center by several years (maybe decades). Burnham is open until 11pm which I assume is the source of our confusion. And of course before this year no one enforced a 9pm closure time at Jackson Park (and still don’t if not at OPC)
