"Several reports misidentified Boulos as the owner of Boulos Enterprises owned by another family of the same name. He confirmed to the NYT that he had no relationship with Boulos Enterprises ..." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massad_...
Screenshot from the Wikipedia page of Masad Boulos, father-in-law of Tiffany Trump:
"Following Trump's announcement that he would appoint Boulos as a presidential advisor (see § US politics), he was subject to scrutiny by some media outlets regarding his business record and public profile.

Media outlets initially described SCOA as a "multi-billion dollar conglomerate". A New York Times article asserted discrepancies between this description and its documented business background. As reported by the New York Times, the company' shares trade for about two Nigerian naira, roughly a tenth of a US cent, a penny stock with a market capitalization worth about $865,000 as of 2024. Boulos holds a minority share of $1.53 according to the company's latest annual report. When asked to confirm the multibillion-dollar valuation of his company, he said that describing it as "multibillion dollar" company was accurate, that "it's a big company" and that he referred to the Fadoul Group's companies, collectively worth more than $1 billion. He further added that "I've never gone into any details like that about the value".

Several reports misidentified Boulos as the owner of Boulos Enterprises owned by another family of the same name. He confirmed to the NYT that he had no relationship with Boulos Enterprises, and that he did not correct public reports because he made a practice of not commenting on his businesses."

Got to see & hold the most famous Roman coin in history, the Ides of March coin Brutus had struck after assassinating Julius Caesar. The numismatist said it was Caesar putting his own face on coinage that precipitated his assassination, so Brutus doing the same thing did not go over well.

The new sanctions, unveiled by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the State Department, would prohibit transactions with the court after a grace period of six months. Any companies doing business with the court afterward could be subject to punishment by the U.S. government. The threat of that could constrain the institution’s ability to carry out daily operations.

A great scene, but it has got to be one of the dumbest, least efficient was to murder someone. Guy in a biplane with a semiautomatic pistol fails to kill Cary Grant for 15 minutes before accidentally flying into an oil truck? We tried “stab him” and “make him drive drunk” and we’re all out of ideas

My favorite part is that Zhang Yingyu doesn’t want to take a firm stance on whether killing and eating young boys would actually regrow one’s missing genitalia: “Some [eunuchs] succeed, some don’t.” Ok sure, cannibalism works - but it’s wrong, and you shouldn’t do it

For example, the author here gives a stern warning against ::checks notes:: cannibal eunuchs
Destitute people who sell their sons are fools! If their livelihood is insufficient for raising a son, why not beg in father-son teams, as they do in Fengyang prefecture? That way, the parents could protect their flesh and blood. Should doing so truly be impossible, the only other recourse would be to sell the son into servitude in a wealthy household. By no means should they serve him up as a tasty morsel to a eunuch. Selling a son to a chapel or temple as a servant or attendant is equally unacceptable. Doing so would reduce one’s son to a level below that of a beggar. The State employs eunuchs for the sole purpose of keeping the palace in order and transmitting imperial orders, yet eunuchs wield power and exact profits, wallow in hedonism, and - worst of all - attempt to regrow their organ in order to defile women. (Some succeed, some don’t.) Even if their cannibalism could be considered analogous to “wanting to mend one’s decrepit body,” did they not accept that it was their fate not to be whole? Such outrageous behavior is utterly intolerable. Mencius says: “He keenest for battle deserves the severest punishment” - and the eunuchs too engage in conscription and slaughter. They treat human life as worthless, and for no good reason. If their cannibalism law of the land is to shine forth, such eunuchs must not be allowed to go on living.
