Up next we have @paolino.me on stage! His hot take is that #Ruby (with RubyLLM) is the best and most elegant way to build AI apps. I’m inclined to believe that he’s right about that! 😁

RubyLLM is such an incredibly clean interface for building apps that use AI! I appreciate @paolino.me's passion for simple interfaces and the philosophy behind it.
Carmine points at a slide:
This is Ruby's time to shine in AICarmine staring out at the audience.Carmine on stage. Slide says:
The RubyLLM Philosophy
1. Simple should be simple, complex should be possible
2. Models and providers are commodities
3. Convention over configuration
4. Progressive disclosure
5. One API, for One Person, in One MachineCarmine pointing at a slide demoing RubyLLM.

Track usage with RubyLLM
```
response = RubyLLM.chat(model: "gemini-2.5-flash").ask("What's the oldest known example of conifers?")
response.input_tokens
# => 12
response.output_tokens
# => 1279
Of course, RubyLLM works great on JRuby! And then you also have access to a world of AI and ML tooling on the JVM like Langchain4J and official TensorFlow bindings. I'm glad to see communities like Ruby's working to compete with Python in the AI space.
Nate Berkopec shared performance feedback on Hackclub's open-source codebase from last week
