Lots of chatter re: NYT's expose on car bloat. Want to do something locally to nudge people away from big, harmful models? Consider parking. Cities like Montreal and Paris charge SUV owners more to park on the street. In MTL (below) many car owners support it b/c big cars take up more curb space.

Shocking. Bristol have quite a lot of land. One issue here is the cost of building is v expensive and like all other authorities they have no money..

Suzy Fitzp @pannusf10.bsky.social · 02/05/2026
Furthermore, the build to rent units rent out for more than the LHA, Local Housing Allowance, and since the 20% affordable housing looks very questionable as being delivered.. it's not helping Bristol's housing crisis adequately enough to justify wrecking the city.

Here's the great controversy over 'dual membership' rules - whether someone can be a member of Your Party & also Workers' Party of Britain Surrealist Tendency (8th International) Two options on the table - yes or no to dual membership, basically. Seems to be lots of support for allowing it so far
Roadmap Amendment 2

Option A — Dual Membership with aligned allied parties

Members shall be permitted to hold membership in other national political parties where they have been approved by the CEC as aligning with the Party’s values, to include those with whom the Party cooperates electorally. The approved list shall be subject to ongoing CEC review and annual ratification by National Conference.

Option B — No Dual Membership
Members may not hold membership in any other national political party.
