The US is not importing fuel from Russia. Putin and Trump are setting up Ukraine to blame for the diesel shortage in the US with the goal of furthering Trump's real estate development in Russia and increasing the value of his stake in companies that are worth more now that he's lifting sanctions.

I think this analysis is correct. Reports out of Russia for the last six weeks show huge diesel shortages and long lines of cars trying to get it. Russia doesn't have the diesel Trump says he's buying for them. This is all for another purpose, which is psy ops.

When Michael Cohen testified before congress he said that Trump never gives a direct order. He floats things like this and people around him know what to do, like a mob boss. Trump can then sidestep responsibility. I don't think Iran takes orders from Trump though.

For a flight from Tehran, Iran, to the United States, the route across the Atlantic generally offers more water, less land than the route across the Pacific & it’s quicker. Trump was warned his comment was treason or will cost him CA votes. He meant it, but he was told to clean up the mess.
