Well *that* was awkward. Gutter cleaning man was moaning about all the jobs he has to do & said "I should just give it up and live on benefits". After I politely suggested it wasn't that easy and it's very limiting he asked if I was still working. I explained. He looked flustered. 😂

Oh that's good. At least you don't feel alone in the way the appointment was handled, & the fault clearly lies with the GP (but we knew that already 😉). After staying off my foot all day yesterday, I've managed a short shop trip this morning but know not to push it further. Small steps. Literally! x

Oh Julia, I'm so sorry you had that dreaded appointment we are all too familiar with. My last encounter with a consultant had me in the same state. We both did well not to punch them. Can you change doctors or move to another surgery? There is no way you deserve that dismissive, arrogant treatment.

This adorable stop motion animation short played well into our 80's kid brains, which were fascinated with ghouls, ghosts and things that were supposed to be scary but simply delighted us! Plus it's still really funny now, 40 years later.

Oz "helps" when I do this too. I have no idea why he finds it so exciting, but he will attack the uncovered mattress topper and refuse to move when I shake the fitted sheet over it so I end up with a large, manic lump under the fabric.

Thanks. I am aware of others who are more severe than me who would love a chance to walk around 1 store, & they are the true warriors. I'm just grumpy and venting at losing a bit more ability every time I try to do anything. It's not even nice stuff. I'm just buying effin bog roll and cat food!

Very demoralising. Either the ME energy failure stops me, the fibro pain stings my skin & bones, the dizziness debilitates me, or the EDS joint failure immobilises me. I still think bad cog fog is the king of immobilisation though. That is pure evil. It removes who you are & any logic.

Can't walk today. Technical reason is: "Intermetatarsal bursitis can occur in individuals with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) due to joint instability & soft tissue overuse, leading to inflammation of the bursae between the metatarsal bones." Actual reason: I walked around 2 shops instead of 1. 😤

Vet checkup done. Oz yells all the way there, then calmly sits on the drive back. Upon our return he checks out the entire house in case something came in whilst he was away from his guard post. ☺️

PIP assessment report. It makes me feel physically sick how many "has no trouble with=0 points" that are in it. It's hugely suspicious that these reports are always just 1 point under the next tier of support. But I have a transcript of the actual interview, so I can challenge the decision/lies.
