"Okey dokey." ~ Samanthan Rutherdord

Star Trek: Lower Decks fan art illustration of Rutherford. He's let his hair grow out, giving him a full beard. His hair is up in a messy top knot, and wearing a fitted white t-shirt, tugging at the neckline and looking like a snack. He spends his days crawling around Jeffries tubes and lifting heavy equipment, so, he's gotta be jacked. He's looking confidently sexy, the best kind of sexy. The iris of his bionic implant is shaped like a pixelated heart. He's wearing a gold necklace with a rectangular pendant with, what I have found to be the closest canonical, non-syndicate, Orion symbol. his hands are tattooed, across his knuckles are "Okie Doki." his left hand has a technical schematic tattoo of the USS Cerritos surrounded by Samoan symbols. Regrettably I dont think the symbols ive chosen are culturally correct, I chose a mix that looked good with the other piece. Behind him is the yellow grid of the holodeck. It's splattered with colorful paint and a giant pair of graffiti kissy lips.

Some of the safety compromises here might not be ideal, but it sounds like they are a significant improvement over the first draft. California passing this will likely increase pressure in other states and this could significantly speed up the solar rollout.

I try to not be super political, mostly for my own sanity, but this fucking pisses me off. This is pure capitalism BULLSHIT. All this wasted food could help feed the poor and hungry. Stores could even sell it at a discount for being "ugly." If it's getting chopped up, WHO CARES HOW IT LOOKS?!

The food crisis looms: if we go hungry, this is a huge reason why.

Here's a late entry for last week's #ShowMeYourKnits theme of tools: my NXTPAPER 14 tablet, which I also use for sheet music, and the #KnitCompanion app. It makes charts really approachable for my brain that quickly gets overwhelmed with too much visual info. The big screen is a winner, too.

A purple piece of cabled knitting rests in front of a large tablet device that is propped up in landscape mode atop a lap desk. A cable chart shows clearly on the large screen, and purl stitches are colored differently from the rest of the chart. On the highlighted row, the purl stitches show stitch counts to make the process of knitting the row easy.

Last night, I decided today would be market prep day. My mom gave me this skein of yarn, and when I saw it, I thought frog stress balls. I sell these for $5 and they do well. #crochet

Three frog balls (look like frog head only) made with multicolored plush yarn. Colors are highlights of blue and green with a base of white. Embroidered smiles and safety eyes. Frogs are in a tiny, corner fitting, silver, mesh shelving unit.
