One of my autistic student’s special interests is birds. Some teacher taught him to give a bird fact of the day instead of info dumping in the middle of class. I learned the corvid fam remembers your face if you’ve done one of them dirty and teaches their young to hate you. #autism

I really need this 3 day weekend. Everyday, when I walk in the classroom, thermometer reads around 80°F/27°C. By end of day, thermometer reads 90°F/32°C. Most days, humidity has been 90% or higher outside. It’s exhausting. #teaching

I have to have my school picture taken every year. I hate having my picture taken. Last year, 4 of my coworkers and I did an awkward family photo. This yr, everyone has to wear a tiara and look imperious. When I told 2 coworkers my plan, immediate response was “I’m in”.

Enough is enough. Black Americans are being targeted and murdered in Mississippi and law enforcement isn’t investigating, but calling it a suicide. There isn’t much media coverage either. If this were happening to White Americans, the media and law enforcement would be all over this.

Last night, I decided today would be market prep day. My mom gave me this skein of yarn, and when I saw it, I thought frog stress balls. I sell these for $5 and they do well. #crochet
