Decisions about what cards to ban or unban in Commander should be based on what is best for the format, not on the historical or social implications of banning/unbanning those cards. "We can't ban/unban this because gross people will get their way," for instance, is not a good argument.

I think the hero/villain mechanic was kind of a missed opportunity to play in the Party/Outlaw space rather than care about MCU-set only creature types. Would have been super interesting and deep to build around rather than ultimately parasitic.

I want to like this commander but... Why is he equipment-matters? The whole precon he's in is power and modified matters and then he just only wants to see fellas with pants? Modified replacing equipped on his attack trigger would open up the deckbuilding space so much 😭

Tips that will improve your life: 1. Don’t game on WiFi, run an Ethernet cable -Everyone I know who protests that WiFi is just fine and finally swaps their setup to wired becomes and evangelist of doing this. There’s a reason. It just feels and plays better. Console wifi is the worst.

How I feel reading 99% of art and media critique these days

a tumblr post with a user named bvckbiter writing "is this character good or bad" "is this shop unproblematic or not" "is this arc deserving of redemption or not" girl...

underneath it is a screenshot from the show shōgun of a character saying "i don't have time for this christian nonsense"

I don't normally subscribe to the "German has a word for it" thing because all languages can invent and borrow new words! That said, I can't stop thinking about "hobbyless" as an insult since I saw it a few days ago, so here you go It promotes a growth mindset!! www.tumblr.com/abbiistabbii...

user abbiistabbii:
The Germans really cooked making "Hobbyless behaviour" an insult. It is both devastating, applicable to a wide range of people and behaviours, and doesn't resort to swearing.

Man ranting on the internet about the Superbowl halftime show or complaining that something is "woke"? Hobbyless Behaviour. Girls mocking another girl for not looking right? Hobbyless Behaviour. Mindless vandalism? Hobbyless Behaviour.

It is more powerful than "get a life" or the English "You're Sad" because it gets to the central point of the matter, and that is wonderful. Danke, Deutsch.

I've been listening to an audiobook about airships (zeppelins, dirigibles, or blimps, depending on locale), and how they NEVER really worked, but governments had invested so much in them that they were determined to MAKE them work, wasting fortunes & years & lives This post is not about airships

Happy Pop-Tarts Bowl Day to all who celebrate

My tweet from 2023:

I asked if it was offensive to eat a Pop-Tart in front of the @PopTartsBowl mascot and then its handler yelled out "ITS THEIR DREAM" and then the mascot grabbed a Pop-Tart out of my hand and started force-feeding it to me while making soft grunting noises.
