Considerable boos at Spurs as they go a fourth game without scoring. The record from the start of a season is Palace, in 2017-18, who went into their eighth game without a goal. Spurs now 403 minutes (and stoppage time on top) without a goal.

When you think of the unlimited resources and bigger budgets other clubs have and the rules some have broken to achieve their success, this is a point that rarely gets acknowledged when judging Arsenal's performances over the last 30 years.

Arsenal's clean sheet this evening was their 500th in Premier League history. The Gunners have kept 19 shut outs this season, the second highest tally in a 38-game Premier League campaign. (23 in 1998-99).

When the concept of VAR was first mooted I liked the idea of experts with technology to advise on terrible decisions. It seemed unfair to refs that they had a split second and maybe a bad angle, while millions at home saw instant replays. But how can VAR, and assistant VARS, be this bad/mad? 🧵
