No Pasarán – “They shall not pass” is a phrase that was used by anti-fascist forces in the Spanish Civil War, and in Britain during the Battle of Cable Street when over 100,000 people stood together to stop the British Union of Fascists from marching through a heavily Jewish area of London.

The khamsa, a West Asian symbol used by people of many religions and identities, represents protection and strength. It wards off the evil eye and blinds the aggressor, cursing them in turn. It is used here in self-defence against fascist infiltration.

Last night, activists painted a mural near the University of Cambridge Sidgwick Site, leaving a manifesto calling for Cambridge’s staff, students, and community members to organise themselves and take action against the far-right within the institution.

Lord Walney (former government advisor on ‘political violence’) has published a Times article calling for BASH BACK to be ‘proscribed’. this would officially designate BASH BACK as a terrorist group
and make it a crime to support us.

We completely reject the idea that we are a "terrorist" group. WE ARE a non-violent direct action group that demands the total liberation of trans people, and opposes the rising tide of anti-trans bigotry.

As our action guide states: “we do not condone causing physical harm to any human being”.

We take action to defend ourselves and our community from violence.
