Earlier this year I planted a few raspberry canes as part of my plan to have a food forest in my yard. I fully assumed I wouldn’t get any fruit this year, but I was wrong! I have a tiny crop!

GOOD NEWS: One of the offshore wind farms that the Trump administration tried to stop construction at has officially built all of its turbines, and it’s expected to generate power at full capacity by the end of the year which will help lower electric bills for residents in New England.

Saying "just buy an EV if you hate high gas prices" to poor people makes climate activists look out of touch. Those who are most impacted by high gas prices can't afford $20k+ on a vehicle and charger. I certainly can't, so let's keep that in mind before we shame people for not going electric.

I haven't spoken to my MAGA in-laws since they made me cry after the 2024 election by cheering on how Trump will destroy my career. My husband has talked to them a few times, and it seems they no longer watch the news. They have no idea what's actually going in and refuse to hear it from anyone.

As of this morning, my house is permanently disconnected from all fossil fueled heat sources now that the utility company has removed the gas lines. What’s crazy is that the utility company found an additional gas line running to my house from the back alley that no one knew about!

UPDATE: The driver was arrested today for violating his bail. It’s almost like a $300,000 bail for killing two people and sending several others to the hospital was ridiculously low — especially considering the man has a long history of drunk and reckless driving.
