A theme that emerged today at OpenFest was *being* open: open-minded, open to play, open to diverse outcomes and outputs. Nick's talk made me think about how this is something that research professionals have more freedom to do. Academics have to pin down research questions in advance for funders...

In 1996 the ADS website looked quite different, and was most commonly viewed via Mosaic or Netscape Navigator. Access to the different sections was via buttons which resembled Rock Art decorated pebbles.

Researchers Ted Habermann and Erin Robinson are taking a closer look at how public data measures up to #FAIRdata standards. Dryad had some of the most complete metadata of the 595 repositories sampled, and was the only major generalist repository in the top 25. 🧪 bit.ly/4xTWGKj #opendata
