Spent the entire weekend doing yard work only for the yard to look almost identical to before. All the invisible prepping for the Big Paint in a few weeks time...very excited to have a fresh yard but in the meantime it's nice enough for dinner outside tonight 🎉

ADHD hack (at least for my brain) - I'm home alone, the neighbours are at work. I could blast music on a speaker. But I sometimes find the big headphones bring me inside my own brain so I can focus on my work better. Anyone else?

loving my job this morning. I'm not feeling physically my best, but I can be snuggled in a big jumper, watching the rain out the window, listening to my little dog gently snoring while I settle in with a coffee and dig into some evidence gathering for an interesting project I'm working on.

Last week I travelled to the south coast of Wales to deliver workshop sessions with sixth form students on critical thinking. We talked about identifying when evidence might be misrepresented or even misused in the media including social media and how to critically assess published research.

One of the things I'm always struck by whenever I investigate the topic of wellness or alternative medicine is how much the promise of empowerment and autonomy is used as a cover for absolving the practitioner of responsibility when it all goes wrong. And this is highlighted so explicitly here.

I picked up a copy of The Salt Path mere days before the Observer investigation broke. I'm about halfway through, now, and I wonder how I would have felt about it if I hadn't seen the new information unfold before beginning to read. This is an interesting piece about the tale.
