It is with ever-growing exasperation that I hear some leaders repeating the empty, meaningless diplomatic mantra of a “just and lasting peace.” That is simply impossible with russia. Stopping the pretense is the prerequisite for any serious strategy. Spouting nonsense leads nowhere.
