Around 30 years ago, I was upset at my dad’s birthday party because his cake didn’t have the colour I wanted (chocolate). Anyway, life comes at you fast - here’s my daughter disappointed I had a green cake instead of pink (her favourite) for my own birthday.

Me, with the worst 90s bowl short haircut ever, on my dad’s lap with my arms crossed sulking. We’re both looking at a cream coloured cake and he is trying to explain his way out of the situation.

ergh, I own anarodrigues.dev which just redirects to my main domain. I bought it when google launched the .dev domains because I was itching to finally own a domain with my first and last name. Of course, since being sold to Squarespace, the price has increased drastically. 🙁

This is a great piece. It’s a shame it’s on substack. Read it or don’t, she describes why they were at the game, what help her husband offered and why she deferred that help. She also describes the pain of the comments after. In particular she addresses Kuiper and Krukow and asks they do better.

I haven't read the article yet but I can say I was always the CSS person on my first jobs. I was also the scrum master + glue + every "soft skill". The men on team proudly left it all to me because they didn't see it as "real programming". I appreciate this didn't happen everywhere but it did to me
