It was a really long week for me. Thursday evening I was craving being offline and do something with my hands so I scanned all the things my daughter drew that week and then cut them and did a collage. She was amused when she saw it the following morning and immediately went to draw more flowers 🌺

Around 30 years ago, I was upset at my dad’s birthday party because his cake didn’t have the colour I wanted (chocolate). Anyway, life comes at you fast - here’s my daughter disappointed I had a green cake instead of pink (her favourite) for my own birthday.

I had a photobucket account in the early 2000s where I would host my fan art wallpapers, banners, avatars, etc. I would then hot-link them on my fan sites and forums to save on hosting space. Please “unfind” me.

Text-decoration (plus -*) is a funny one because I noticed 6 years ago that the wavy option renders completely differently in different browsers. At the time I thought it was cute and quirky for my personal website but if it was for a client project I would have a very bad time ™️

Comparison between Chrome, Firefox and Safari. The `text-decoration-style: wavy` style renders differently between all of them. Thicker and more spaced in chrome, tiny and compressed in firefox and more fluid and less wavy in Safari. Chrome rendering it the thickest.

Oh wow! Tonight’s @feelingof.london was excellent. It had it all: pixel and textile arts, the art of showing drafts of your writing and colours of an image for memories (which reminded me of a post of mine from 2018) and more. So glad I braced the hot weather 💖

Took a whole week off. It was great! Spent the last two hours of my holiday framing and doing collages of the drawings my daughter did this year so far.

Whoever did this kitchen for the previous owners of my house measured once and cut… a bit. 👍 Great stuff, cheers, exactly what I love. There’s a web dev analogy in here somewhere I bet.

Day 3 included: A crafts charity shop, walk by the seaside, more horses and a chocolate martini. 🤎 Not pictured: steam, sauna and the indoor pool. Still successfully avoiding ✨ bad news ✨ but don’t worry: it will all hit me at once sometime Saturday or something.

I had such a wonderful day yesterday. We spent around 6 hours cycling through New Forest. I caught myself smiling when cycling down hills. Pretty sore today but i slept close to 10 hours 😁 Life can be pretty neat without the screens of doom 💚

Hey so remember how I gave a talk inspired by The Rasmus where I experimented creating a gamified karaoke in the browser? Anyway, I got the band to sign the landyard of one of the many places I spoke at. 🧡 @heypresents.com Be a fan and a dork about things you love and care about.
