2024 was a rough year, but strangely productive. Not in the things I wanted it to be, but this collects my work on film VFX, MDT5K animations, Blender tests, all the Call of Cthulhu maps/intros/graphics, MDT5K thumbnails, and at the very end a little peek at the one scene we got to shoot.

Though a rain splattered windscreen a terrible woman stands in a dark, vast, near empty parking lot. From the waist up she is in shadow and below that she is illuminated in the headlights. She has pallid skin, an untamed mane of black hair whipping in the wind and wears a black knee length coat, a pair of dark shades and black knee high boots. Her stance is casual and patient, breathing a cloud of vapour while one hand sits in her pocket.
A pair of windscreen wipers pulse across the visage of her.
She is looking directly into the car at the young man in the back seat who is reflected in the rearview mirror.
He is wearing a pink hoodie and sees his miserable fate in her. The top half of his face is in shadow, while the bottom half of his face is lit with the warmth of street lights that cast the shadows of rain drops onto his cheek and nose.
He is defiant, but he is also scared.

This evil looking woman is Sloan. She looks like the reason for the satanic panic of the 80’s, she probably was the reason for the satanic panic of the 80’s. She’s covered in tattoos, including but not limited to unspooled cassettes, a fleeing rabbit with the words ’ready or not’ ribboned around it, a tit bird under the word ‘stupid’, a grim reaper smoking, a lizard with a crown and a masturbating merman taking up the majority of her right forearm. Her hair is a wild black mane and her canine teeth will give you worse things than rabies. She is lazily smearing blood ‘off’ her face with no success & is only fulfilling the effect of spreading the scarlet strain across her mouth, making her white canine teeth all the more stark in the surrounding red. She’s wearing a grey tank top with a skull, a cockatrice & the words ‘Reconnecting with my fiendish inclination’ on it.
Additional note: The top Sloan is wearing is a real top designed & sold by my friend @hedgebette.bsky.social

A master study of one of Leyedecker’s classic 1920’s menswear paintings featuring an example of smart casual winter wear, however, as per my usual practice when doing a master study, I have substituted the model in the painting for one of my own OCs. In this case I have gone with my OC Miles, the werewolf Sloan’s second henchmen or, according to some, her assistant or indeed secretary. Not an unfair assumption, it’s easy for Miles’ grace and upright academic nature to out shine his physical abilities.
Here he stands before a backdrop of white brushstrokes, implying a clear, bright winter's day, with a fir tree branch braking up all the negative space behind him. He is standing with his attention contently occupied to his right, despite the black tail of his boss disappearing across the bottom left side of the canvas, and his hands in the generously sized pockets of a very well made, double breasted, mustard yellow, long coat. A white scarf with orange accents on its ends is bundled around his shoulders and neck, the pale shade of which brings out the soft warm browns of his first nations skin tone. On his head he wears an olive green flat cap, the band of which sits behind his one visible ear. It is not always noted just how large Miles’ ears are, his long black hair, even when braided or loosely tied back, as it is here, and his ever diligent gaze, tend to steal their limelight.
All together the outfit suits Miles very well, for its practicality, upright yet approachable nature and general appealing charisma.

The sun breaks through a forest of silver birch trees in their autumn foliage and over a misty blue stream being crossed by two centaurs. They’re breathing a warmly lit fog into the cool air and the ripples left by their hooves are the only disturbance on the water that floats a few gold and orange leaves on its surface. The first centaur is pale grey with long black hair, well below their hip and covering their eyes. They wear a garland of mushrooms of a species that can rightly be surmised by the easy manner of the centaur, with their arms folded behind their head in a lazy stretch as they stare into the canopy rather than where they are going. The following centaur looks used to this. He is bay brown, and contently follows with his arms to his sides.
