Right, and we are asking you to actually look at the materials before you pronounce judgment on our efforts with unhelpful comments like "Do better." What you saw in your feed is a link preview image. It is not an ad. It's a visual Bluesky appends when the WrongforWashington.org link is shared.

You're reacting to a name within a banner image. It doesn't sound like you went to WrongforWashington.org and did any reading. There is a lot of useful information there (including a sample ballot, arguments against each initiative, and frequently asked questions) that doesn't fit in a banner image.

In Kettle's case, he wants something that costs money (150 officers). He doesn't have a way to pay for it, but he still wants it. This incongruous "invest *and* cut" attitude seems to have become incredibly common now among "pro-business Democrats" or "money Democrats" or whatever term you'd prefer.
1171
Northwest Progressive Institute @nwprogressive.org · 27/09/2026
They won't say what they would cut. But they demand that "spending" be reduced, even though we've already been making cuts for years. We've been doing cuts and revenue because Democrats in #waleg and elsewhere didn't want a revenue-only approach. And yet, commentators still say we're "overspending."

This is emblematic of something bigger happening in our politics right now: business organizations such as the Washington Roundtable and the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce are simultaneously eagerly campaigning for austerity while they also campaign for investments in their own priorities.

Alito/Roberts Court lets Trump regime make voter suppression database operational while thwarting its Missouri gerrymander
Washington and Oregon will keep voters’ data out of the privacy-infringing, weaponized federal system, which has already misidentified citizens as noncitizens. Meanwhile, the justices rebuked lower federal courts for trying to resurrect Missouri’s Republican-drawn map after voting had already begun, explicitly ordering them to stop interfering.

1) The buyers remorse is not merely because of gas prices. Not even close. It's dissatisfaction across the board. 2) Trump and Republicans do not have the levers to lower prices. If they did, they would have pulled them already. 3) While R's have money, there's a limit to what that money can buy.

1) There's nothing "dangerous" about observing that people feel betrayed by Trump. 2) He has already claimed victory over Iran repeatedly... Americans have not been fooled. 3) "His campaign"? He is not on the ballot this cycle. 4) Oil companies are already on his side. They cannot help him much.

The Building Industry Association of Washington is responsible for the disastrous drafting decisions that doomed I-2066
The right wing homebuilding lobby was the key player behind the measure to lock Washington into a dirty energy future, which Brian Heywood and fossil fuel companies poured money into despite Washington State Republican Party Chair Jim Walsh's desire to run a simple repeal measure targeting the Decarbonization Act. The drafting history shows how they set themselves up for defeat.
