I simply love to do 30% more basic attack damage after dodging, I love to collect currencies to spend on upgrades, I love to level up zones to unlock more numbers, it is what I live for.
Screenshot of the Combo Finisher menu in Control Resonant's upgrade vendor where you spend various currencies to pick between increases and variations to percentages and attacks

I should have read The Score by C. Thi Nguyen before writing this.
There are, says Porter, two basic modes of reasoning and justification. Qualitative reasoning uses words and descriptions, and quantitative reasoning uses numbers. For Porter, neither mode is essentially superior. Each has its own distinctive strengths and weaknesses, and there's always a trade-off between them. But we have come to use the quantitative reasoning compulsively, even when it's not the best tool for the job.

if you are wondering why this "boycott" demands mainstream coverage while even specialist publications cannot cover similar actions, here is an excerpt of The Message I think about All The Time
"It is the journalists who decide which sides are legitimate and which are not, which views shall be considered and which pushed out of the frame. And this power is an extension of the power of other curators of the culture—network execs, producers, publishers—whose core job is deciding which stories get told and which do not. When you are erased from the narrative, you do not exist. Thus, the complex of curators is doing more than setting pub dates and greenlighting—they are establishing and monitoring a criterion for humanity." -Ta-Nehisi Coates, The Message (148)
