Back before a series of cataclysmic blows were done to my mental health. Once AI became more and more popular I lost pretty much all motivation to even try. I'm still trying to find it.

I'm still deeply grateful to them for many reasons, especially @shaunvids.bsky.social who once encouraged my wild-eyed desire to get into making my own, wherein I realized I had bitten off way more than I could chew having never made or edited a single video in my entire life much less a whole essay

I've gone off of video essays in recent times. Not entirely sure why. Luckily none of the video essayists I like and respect in spite of not keeping up with their content which I follow on here know of my existence, and probably wouldn't care even if they did. Silver linings and all.

I think I'm beginning to understand that follower count doesn't really mean much on this platform. Lots of people with thousands and thousands of followers, but none of their posts have any interaction. Kind of thought it would be better than twitter in that regard, but...
