This censorship bullshit has gone beyond "too far", it's something else entirely by now. I don't have the money to support FA myself rn, so i'm only able to spread the word. Go donate to them and spread this even further

"What makes this situation frustrating is that the bar for what advertisers consider “adult content” is very very low. For example they consider plus size characters, two characters hugging, and “barbie doll nudity” to be adult content, despite these being normal everyday things that are not adult at all. This is why you may see other sites with restrictions on how characters can’t be posed or dressed “too provocatively.”

We receive a daily list of items that they have flagged as violations and have to sort through them. If they’re legitimate violations, we re-rate them. If they aren’t, we don’t touch them. Submissions that are not violations of our policies are still held against us.

We have had many email conversations, Zoom calls, and even an in-person meeting with representatives to help resolve this to no avail.

Given this uphill (and frankly annoying) struggle, if properly funded we would like to aim towards removing third-party advertising entirely, and instead focus on our in-house community advertisers. They are the heart and soul of the fandom, and they deserve to have the eyes of our active users."

The result of my OCtober (which is just me revamping an assortment of old OCs) from 2016. To be re-posted individually on Bluesky with alt text at a later date.

Day One: Shaun Bannet, human. A young man with long hair tied in a loose ponytail, he's seen walking through an (abstract) desert with a hard look on his face.

A former roleplay character of mine in a mecha-themed game, whose machine of choice was a living weapon, a robot bird by the name Phoenixora; she's represented as his metaphorical shadow, as she sacrificed herself to save him at one point in the game. She eventually came back with a new form, but as this is a much older Shaun than the one I played back then, let's assume this is a melancholical epilogue where they have parted ways for reasons only they'd know.
