Just beat DooM³. I kinda like it! I can see why it isn't most people's cup of tea, but I found plenty to like here; wonky shotgun RNG and all. Not the best "Doom game", but still a great game in its own rights, and deserves its cult following. I'd say give it a shot. 8/10.

Just saw Coyote vs. Acme. Looney Tunes as a whole could end right this second and I wouldn't even complain. It really felt like a series finale of the entire thing. So much love and care was put into it, and it shows. I just wish my late dad was here to see it. Fuck you, Zaslav. 8/10.

Just beat 007: First Light. Although the story wasn't anything special (and was predictable to a fault), it was still an amazing game to my eyes. Met and exceeded all of my expectations, and can't wait to see what iOi does with this. All I ask is a better story, but it was still great. 8.75/10.

I now consider it unjustifiable to spend any money on video games developed by major companies. "Supporting the devs" means supporting the publishers as well at this point. Every dollar I spend on a hypothetical Wolfenstein 3 is another dollar that goes into the pockets of MSFT.

Your favorite modern game has its roots in an older one, and despite the fears perpetuated by view-seeking YouTubers, games released in the 20th century are not “unplayable” because there might be some slowdown or you aren’t used to the controls of a less-defined era — seek out those roots, explore them, learn about the origins of a genre or a series or the art form itself by doing so. Are Nintendo 64 games aging like milk, or are you playing them in the wrong context, with the wrong controller, and coming away with the wrong impression because of it? Was the Sega Saturn a failed system because of a lack of games, or because it featured stunning 32-bit 2D art at the exact wrong time in history, with the vast majority of its library — 775 of 1,028 games — releasing exclusively in Japan rather than worldwide? It might not have the quantity of the PlayStation, which sold over 10 times as many consoles as the Saturn managed and therefore kept getting the lion’s share of new releases and development attention, but what’s there is a joy.

I beat Wolfenstein: The New Order. 9/10. One of the best fucking games I've ever played. Worldbuilding is prime. Soundtrack is prime. Gameplay is prime. Characters are prime. I love this game so fucking much. Genuinely in my top 5 alongside RtCW, stands toe-to-toe with it. Play it. NOW.

Wolfenstein: The New Order was developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks in the year 2014. The box art here depicts a Nazi soldier in the middle (two silhouettes next to him) brandishing a so-called "Assault Rifle 1960" (an amalgam of the Sturmgewehr 44 and the Heckler & Koch G3), with the title displayed in the middle; the word "WOLFENSTEIN" is in an angular and aggressive font similar to one used in Return to Castle Wolfenstein and the words "THE NEW ORDER" is in Futura.

The PS3's biggest impact in 2026 is that it's now an inexpensive Blu-Ray player. In terms of gaming, it is one of the most woefully "bureaucratic" systems I've ever used. Checks upon checks, even with softmodding. I'm finding it less and less justified to hold on to it.

I beat Return to Castle Wolfenstein earlier today. It was one of the best things I've ever played. Even with the occasional bullshit like stealth and difficult bossfights, it was still a genuine 9/10 experience. So many things done right. Absolute ludography.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein was developed by Grey Matter Interactive (formerly known as Xatrix Entertainment) and published by Activision in the year 2001. The box art here depicts the protagonist William "B.J." Blazkowicz in the catacombs brandishing an MP40 while hiding from two Nazi soldiers; one in the front is using a flamethrower while the one in the back is holding its Venom machine gun while patrolling the area. The game's title is placed above with an angular, aggressive font.

I'm not happy that we're doing the same damn game again for what is essentially the third time, but I begrudgingly accept the fact that this is to catch the kids up. Above all, I want Star Fox to truly thrive and reinvent itself. I hope the game succeeds just for that alone. End rant. I'm tired.

I don't want this game to fail because Star Fox means a lot to me, but I'm afraid that, if it succeeds, it's gonna set the precedent that Star Fox doesn't need to evolve, even though it DOES. SF1 and 64 are all on NSO. Why waste time, money and resources on doing the same thing over and over again?
