Ok I made chicken stock and I understand why people opt to buy this shit at the store. I really do not believe it is worth the effort. Sure, it tastes marginally better (used fresh herbs too) but the effort that goes into it is not worth the time.

I know I fuss a lot about book club, but the idea that people can foist their books on others, and not participate when it's other's turns is very frustrating. It's kind of antithetical to the point of it.

Also we're reading another Isekai in book club (internally dies) and I'd like reads that are a bit more stimulating than the mental equivalent of movie popcorn. And I'm trying so hard to be patient but the person who suggested it has not read my last 2 books, nor many others books.
