My copies somehow traveled from a USPS Distribution Center in Atlanta to Mobile Alabama yesterday, but I'm starting to see many of the authors in the collection receive their collections and share from CRITICAL UNIVERSITY STUDIES AND PERFORMANCE.

We should never forget that these "studies" programs -- Women and Gender; African Diaspora; Latinx; Asian and Pacific -- emerged from the demands of politicized students, and that therefore administrators _as a class_ have always resented them and their successes.

This is the importance of buying the books we write and teach from university presses. The same administrations that don’t care about the humanities would be just as happy to have academic publishing handled by these companies. We can save our own publishing ecosystem- but we have to do it.
