I keep getting told that what is happening to trans people in the United States isn't a genocide because we can "just" detransition. 1. No actually, for many people (like me) who medically transition, this shit is permanent. It's not a wig and makeup no matter how much propaganda you hear.

The point of this behavior is not that she erroneously believes Barbra Banda to be trans - perhaps she does, perhaps she doesn't. The point is to enshrine the idea that it is wealthy white patrician women like her who get the privilege of deciding who "counts" as a woman. Who is "allowed."

Hank Hill stands in a room. It is unclear where exactly, as there’s no background other than a checkerboard floor, saying “Dang it Peggy, this is the last straw. I can’t find the boy. He turned into a glowing sphere of light and floated into the sky.”

A lot of leftists and disability groups petitioned and messaged and reached out to progressive orgs, trying to build momentum for a progressive push back to the eradication of pandemic benefits and supports. Overwhelmingly we were ignored by a crowd demanding "back to normal." This is the cost.
