I'm assuming Elixir/Phoenix isn't included because it would be unfair to all the others, right? (S+ Tier, no cap)

People used to recognize me because they had seen one of my 7,000+ Stack Overflow "free" answers when they got stuck on a tricky CSS issue. Now, you will thank your favorite LLM for giving you that bad/outdated/inaccurate answer. And some people pay for that.

Try giving everyone a moment to shine, do a fun recap at the end of the session, be SUPER familiar with your campaign/world and expect to throw out everything 5 minutes into the game, when in doubt roll a dice. Do solo playtests or online one shot sessions to become familiar with the rules etc.

So, we're full circle and back at the Frontpage/Dreamweaver era, right?

Rarely have I been *this* enraged about this kind of decision. With all the - highly infectious - passion you put into your work, I can barely imagine how devastating this must feel. Someone at Google messed up big fucking time and I sincerely hope you'll find another way/place to do what you did.

According to this new plan, we will now have a delay of merely 75minutes. Which almost twice the time it would’ve taken me by car to where I am right now. After 4.5h of trävelling wis deutsche bahn. 😂

Classic traveling with DB. Train got cancelled. So: major reroute. ~30min after that new train left the station, it stopped between stations: issues with the tracks. Notification: delay 112min. Now thistrain is taking a detour *via the station I came from.* Can’t make that shit up.

It’s funny how Discord seems to have some kind of heuristics for when to install updates. Opened it this morning: No updates. Opened it just now, on a train: TIME FOR UPDATES!

There it is! Finally, a real solution for how to style all of the HTML form controls using your own custom CSS to change anything — building on an interoperable UA set of defaults. First, styling the in-page part of controls + the popover for <select>. (Later we’ll do popovers for more things.)

This is the funniest ligature I've ever seen
Gray text on a black background that reads Bigger. The 2 g's are white and the tails of the g's are combined. Underneath it in small text reads Discretionary Ligatures.

Same! I started with fusion and moved to FreeCAD. It's way more keyboard-user friendly, more customisable and less of a resource hog than fusion. Highly recommend installing the OpenPreferences though, which makes the UI actually bearable. It's has its quirks, but every tool has those anyway :D
Screenshot of FreeCAD showing a model of a Yarn Winder Spool. The Interface is made much cleaner and more modern by an extension called Open Preferences - which is not visible.

My question would be: when being math-curious, is it a good route to take as a dev? Or does dev-experience not quite matter? Does it require deeper math knowledge?

German makes this rather clear: “zweckentfremden” (use for a purpose it wasn’t meant for; literally purpose-enstranging; utilize) vs “benutzen” (use). That’s kinda how I always remember the difference between the too.

    "checkJs": true,
    "noEmit": true,

However I do think bsky and the AT protocol currently has the best tools/mechanics to handle this sensibly and transparently. They'll figure it out sooner or later. After all, it's been just a year after public launch.

I'm betting hard on most of these being bots, specifically to keep/drive people off of this platforms. The incentive is *huge*. And those who have it, easily have the resources to do so. And it takes just a fraction of what it took like 8 years ago. Note how they usually have a default handle.

Remember Unhinged? One of my goals is to keep it as visually minimalistic as possible while still staying true to its name. It's not supposed to feel like a run-of-the-mill app without character. Instead, I want it to feel slightly weird while still being easy to understand. (Thread) #BuildInPublic

1. When I do a course I rarely do it start to finish. Often skipping into segments that interest me etc. So if there are exercises for that lesson I am more likely to do those and also more likely to do more in general.

I think in CSS the BEM approach is very similar to OOP; while Utility First is closer to FP. So when people haven't been exposed to FP much or have a hard time with it, I found they tend to struggle more with Tailwind and how to create useful custom utilities, variants or components.

Understanding the purpose and usefulness of contexts in Phoenix took me a while, but over time they became a natural way of doing things for me in general - not just in phoenix/elixir. Elixir idioms are leaking into every other language I write, and so far it was *always* for the better.
