Medial PFC interacts with the hippocampus to retrieve context-congruent memories.. but HOW?? was what started this. Simulating mPFC-HIP🧠, we designed an RNN🤖 that retrieves memories similar in context, on top of self-attention. It learns to retrieve like humans faster! arxiv.org/abs/2609.37791

Preprint updated with a new set of modeling analyses. Naser finds that an RL-style 'policy gradient' model explains these novel effects quite well, where the motor system tunes its error sensitivity according to a movement-specific value gradient --> www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...

A self-contained method: 1. Induce anxiety and unsubstantiated vaccine skepticism in the public. 2. Use research funding to investigate why people *believe* they were harmed by vaccines.

Our paper is now out in @nathumbehav.nature.com! By periodically probing ongoing thoughts during resting-state fMRI, we found that these rich and idiosyncratic thoughts can be decoded from brain network dynamics and help explain links between functional brain architecture and everyday behavior.

Advances in organ and computer models are raising the prospect that some animal experiments could be eliminated. But there are still huge hurdles to overcome.
