Today MSP saw the 99th ICE Air flight of 2026. 21 detainees, shackled, as always, were loaded. ICE hasn't stopped in Minnesota, neither have MN50501's volunteer observers. Stats: ottergoose.net/ice-flights-msp/data

Like, yes, it's blasphemous for a rank sinner to depict himself as the Son of God and also it's blasphemous to abuse immigrants and queer people and people in other countries, too, and in fact even moreso.

I find it kind of funny that it's the picture of Trump as Jesus that is getting folks like Sean Feucht to be like "delete this" when the Pope's (and the gospel's) whole point is that the way you treat other people is literally how you are treating Christ Himself and the Image of God in them.

I have a metal bed frame and no box spring. I feel like a bed skirt that attaches to the frame by magnets makes sense. But this doesn't seem to exist. Is this a bad idea that's been tried and found unworkable? Or a good idea that just doesn't exist in the market?

It would be great if there were people who could do something about all of this. I’m envisioning some sort of 3 branch system where we have people who act as checks and balances, perhaps they represent the people, maybe they even have ways to put a stop to dangerous leadership

After wishing a speedy recovery the first 12 times someone noted their cold symptoms in a 1 hour period, I have no idea what to say next. Am I missing some key phrase that will assure them I am empathetic? Is there a hidden request? "Why do you keep repeating yourself?" Is likely rude, yes?

When I was in elementary school I had a little bag, red with animals and numbers in it. It had a zipper and each morning my dad would either make me a lunch or give me $1.05 to put in that zipper bag to buy lunch at school. I wonder if kids today will feel this nostalgia about their lunch code.

My love, what if you

Gloria Steinem. And I was not
Ruth Bader Ginsberg, or Laurel Thatcher Ulrich, and
you were not
Isaac Newton, or Einstein, or Hegel, and we lived
Ordinary lives, here and there,
foraging for mushrooms in the swamps
and children's minds and sometimes find
ing chickory root for inflammation,
poke for lymphatic tincture, honey
for mead. What if sometimes you
sang in the kitchen while making bone broth
from chicken feet, and played happy
snippets on the violin, and I
periodically baked bread in a clean
(ish) kitchen, sang Broadway, laughed, and
sometimes, we held hands in the grocery,
took kids to the Asian market, watched
Netflix with our eyes closed, spooned
in bed, and weren't the next
Nobel Prize Winner, breakout academic
Wunderkind, surprise New York Times
Best-selling magical fairy child.
What if we went wild: Mowed lawns.
Got mail. Refused to live
up to the potential somebody wrote
on our report cards long ago, and instead
utterly wasted our lives
on loving and living and loving
and refused to yield to the expectations
that anything less fiscally responsible
is imprudent. What if what we saved
did not end up being millions,
my sweet, but our own souls? And all along
there will be enough for the movies
sometimes, enough for croissants and
soft pretzels, and enough to sit
and do the crossword and kiss you goodnight.
What if instead of being
memorable, we make memories,
responsible to not the whole world
but our world. And what if it is ordinary, and
we are inordinately enough.

If the admin's strategic goal was to break public resistance to immigration enforcement activities, it was a tactical mistake to go to the Twin Cities.
It is the misfortune of Minnesota’s ICE contingent to have invaded the state with the second-highest levels of social trust, trailing only Utah. Many activist networks were formed in 2020; we are seeing, Petrus says, Minnesotans call upon the “muscle memory” of the George Floyd protests. In mid-January, a neighborhood organization for a part of town called Whittier put out a call for a meeting to organize a “Neighborhood ICE response”; more than 800 people showed up at the local elementary school and formed a tidy line extending well beyond the door. (“Why a line?” I ask someone later. “Because we are in Minnesota,” he says.) In the cafeteria, in their big coats, adults struggled to get their legs through benches attached to long lunch tables. Because there were too many Minnesotans to fit in a single room, officials and parents and teachers went room to room giving the same speeches about how to help neighbors in hiding. They then gridded out the rooms, dividing the neighborhood into smaller subdivisions. Close neighbors met one another (“Oh, you live on the other side of the museum”) and formed hyperlocal Signal groups. At the first sighting of an agent, someone could ping the group and draw them outside. Their favored tactic was noise. They would make it impossible for ICE to conduct raids in secret.

🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional! ICE then hid the memo from the public, passing it along by word of mouth and private conversation.
The Gravamen of the Disclosure

4. The gravamen of the disclosure is as follows:
a. By memorandum dated May 12, 2025 (“the May 12 Memo”), Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons authorizes ICE agents to forcibly enter into certain people’s homes without a judicial warrant, consent, or an emergency.

b. Specifically, in the May 12 Memo, the Acting ICE Director authorized ICE Agents to rely on Form I-205 (which is not a judicial warrant) to enter the residence of an alien subject to a final order of deportation, without consent, including by “a necessary and reasonable amount of force.”2c. While addressed to “All ICE Personnel,” in practice the May 12 Memo has not been formally distributed to all personnel. Instead, the May 12 Memo has been provided to select DHS officials who are then directed to verbally brief the new policy for action. Those supervisors then show the Memo to some employees, like our clients, and direct them to read the Memo and return it to the supervisor.
